The Assistant Server in the restaurant is responsible for creating a welcoming guest experience by bussing tables, clearing tables, running food, pouring water, delivering beverages, and assisting servers as needed. The Assistant Server interacts with guests at their tables to deliver food & beverages, respond to their needs, and communicates with servers, bartenders, and culinary if there are any guest needs they need help with. The Assistant Server maintains a friendly, welcoming, professional, and attentive demeanor at all times. Service team members:
Are passionate about hospitality, guest experience, and great food
Are fully knowledgeable of the menu including ingredients and allergens
Work as part of a service team to take care of all guests in the restaurant
Ensure a positive guest experience
Compensation & Benefits
$18.50/hr plus tips

Summary of Responsibilities
Create a welcoming guest experience by greeting guests warmly and being attentive
Bus and reset tables to make sure restaurant is clean, organized, and ready for guests
Run correct orders promptly from the kitchen to tables
Deliver beverages and pour water for guests in a timely manner, and replenishing water as needed
Support servers during service by assisting with guest requests, table maintenance, and other service needs to create a hospitable guest experience
Learn menu, including ingredients, and allergens, to answer guest questions and support safety
Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and culinary team members regarding guest needs, special requests, dietary restrictions, and service issues
Participate in setting up the dining areas and service stations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of seating area, service stations, beverage stations
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards while handling food, beverages, dishware, and guest interactions to ensure a safe and exceptional dining experience
Perform side work during down time
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years fine dining experience
Ability to work lunch shifts, some night shifts, holidays, and weekends
Strong communication skills to professionally communicate with all guests and team members
Able to grasp and reach overhead
Must be able to lift, move, and carry 50+lbs
Must be able to work 8+ hours a day on feet
Servsafe allergen certified and TIPS certified (or willing to be certified prior to start date, company pays for classes)
