Before and Afterschool Program Assistant Site Director, Suffolk VA. Experience and management in a child group setting required.

BA degree in a child related field such as elementary education, nursing or recreation. Or 48 semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college credit from a college or university of which 12 semester hours are in a child related subject and one year programming experience1 year childcare experience and 1 year supervisor experience with 48 semester education credits.

Schedule: AM 6:30am-9:15am PM 3:30pm-6pm

As an AlphaBEST Captain, you'll be trained to do the following:

• Lead a fun and dedicated team of Guides that deliver excitement to our student Explorers in fitness, the arts, technology, and more!
• Work collaboratively with peers and the Leadership Team to manage all aspects of the program site.
• Train AlphaBEST Guides on how to lead adventurous tasks that ignite children's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by establishing clubs that build on students' interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, parent, and school relationships are fostered at your program site.

Here's what you'll need:

• Must have 1-2 years childcare director/manager experience/and or BA, or Associates or certification credits/childcare. Degree in a child related field, such as elementary education, nursing, or recreation from a college or university or one year of programmatic experience.
• Must be at least 21years old
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet program staffing needs
• Must be able to successfully complete a background check as required by state childcare licensing regulations
• Provide proof of experience as required by state childcare licensing standards
