Description
This position will assist the Head Coach in the leadership and supervision of the athletic program that has been assigned to him/her. The individual may also have teaching assignments or other duties assigned and will be responsible for assisting in the supervision and/or controlling of his/her players' behavior in the residence halls.
Duties
Assist in the supervision of all activities of the assigned athletic program;
Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the high school coaches of the district;
Maintain a cooperative and supportive relationship with the administration, faculty, and support staff;
Assist in the supervision of the student athletes participating in his/her athletic program in the areas of conduct and academic performance;
Assist in maintaining and reporting accurate scholarship information to the Director of Athletics, Director of Financial Aid, Registrar, and others as needed and as assigned by the head coach;
Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of athletic supplies and equipment assigned to his/her program;
Coordinates, through the head coach, requests for repairs and/or improvements of assigned facilities;
Participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
Must be knowledgeable of NJCAA and MACC rules and regulations. Adherence to these rules and regulations is mandatory.
Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Supports the College mission implicitly and explicitly in the daily execution of all duties and responsibilities;
Actively participates in maintaining an effective and continuous recruiting program;
Participates in Institutional Effectiveness activities;
Represents the College in a professional manner as evidenced by dress, demeanor and the discharge of daily responsibilities;
Fulfills other duties as assigned by the President and/or supervisor.
Qualifications and Required Documents
Education: Bachelor's degree, required
Skills: Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Office applications, good written and verbal communication skills, knowledgeable of basic first-aid techniques
Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position: 2 years of relevant work experience required
