GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Kane County State"s Attorney"s Office is seeking a full-time Assistant State"s Attorney position in its Civil Division. Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in the fields of contracts and purchasing, local government law, civil litigation, and/or labor and employment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position is responsible for providing a full range of legal advice and representation to all Kane County elected and appointed officials, department heads and employees with respect to various legal issues. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in client relations, as well as a firm, in-house counsel, or governmental office setting, where collaboration with other attorneys is essential. The ideal candidate would also have an expertise or a willingness to develop an expertise over certain local government law matters.
