We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of our retail store. This position assists with supervising team members, driving sales performance, maintaining excellent customer service, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting merchandising and store presentation standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys coaching employees, providing outstanding customer service, and helping create a positive and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in overseeing daily store operations and team performance.
  • Train, coach, and develop store team members.
  • Monitor employee attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns.
  • Support merchandising, product placement, seasonal displays, and promotions.
  • Monitor sales floor activity and inventory movement.
  • Conduct store walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security.
  • Assist with cash handling, petty cash, and financial controls.
  • Support efforts to achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales goals.
  • Communicate effectively with the Store Manager regarding store operations and employee performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous retail supervisory, key holder, or management experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and develop employees.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
