Position: Assistant Store Manager
Reports to: Store Manager
Employment Status: Full Time
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary: The Assistant Store Manager will support the store manager in upholding standards with regards to customer service, staff development, and day-to-day operations. You will be an asset to creating a pleasant work environment where everyone works their best.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service, leading by example
- Unpack and display stock/merchandise
- Use POS System to sell product
- Maintain a clean and inviting store
- Adhere to federal and state laws with regards to selling Alcohol, Tobacco, and Lottery products
- Perform routine inventory
- Assist in kitchen
- Open and close the store
- Maintain company security and safety standards
- Motivate and assist with training staff
- Assume responsibility of the store in the store managers absence
Requirements:
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays
- Basic math skills sufficient to complete orders, manager cash registers, and calculate inventory
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 7+ hours
- Complete training/certification Alcohol/Tobacco, UST, and Food Handlers
