Assistant Store Manager

About Helkipooki USA
Helkipooki is a growing Korean food franchise preparing to expand across the United States. We are looking for a hands-on Store Assistant Manager to grow with the company.

This person will begin by establishing and managing a successful store operation. As Helkipooki USA expands, they will have the opportunity to help open new locations, train new teams, develop operating systems, and oversee multiple stores.

Responsibilities
Manage all daily operations of the given location
Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and supervise team members
Maintain high standards for food quality, customer service, cleanliness, and food safety
Manage labor costs, food costs, inventory, ordering, waste, and other operating expenses
Monitor sales and store performance and take corrective action when targets are not being met
Develop, document, and enforce consistent operating procedures
Resolve customer concerns and employee issues professionally
Work directly with Helkipooki USA leadership on store strategy and operational improvements
Assist with the setup and opening of future locations
Recruit and train management teams for new stores
Help build systems that can be consistently implemented across multiple locations
Visit and support additional locations as the company expands
Prepare for potential advancement into a multi-unit or regional operations position

Qualifications
At least two years of restaurant management or comparable food-service leadership experience

Constant optimism
Fluency in English is required
Proficiency in Korean and/or Spanish is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of restaurant staffing, scheduling, inventory, food safety, and cost control
Ability to lead by example and work alongside the team when needed
Proven ability to train employees, enforce standards, and hold team members accountable
Organized, dependable, and capable of solving problems independently
Strong leadership and communication skills
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Restaurant-opening or multi-unit management experience is strongly preferred
Experience with Korean food or fast-casual restaurant operations is helpful but not required

What We Offer
Estimated salary of $55,000 - $90,000 per year
