    Location: Southpoint, Wisconsin (Loomis Point). Hourly: $15.15. Job Title: Assistant Manager. Department: Operations. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Reports To: Store Manager.SummaryThe Assistant Manager assists and consults the Store Manager regarding overall operations and administrative duties, ensuring the store achieves its goals. The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable in each product area, upholds policies and standards, provides outstanding customer service, and promotes merchandise. In the Store Manager's absence, the Assistant Manager assumes supervisory control and is trained in Store Manager responsibilities.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist the Store Manager in controlling store assets.Consult with the Store Manager in establishing action plans to achieve departmental and overall store responsibilities such as selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.Assist with overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers across all departments when necessary.Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are completed.Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.Ensure quality customer service is maintained.Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager responsibilities.Deliver exceptional customer service as outlined in the customer service manual, helping customers during peak periods.Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards as listed in the operations, personnel, visual, and customer service manuals.Protect company assets and financial information by ensuring accurate internal controls and reporting potential fraud risks.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervise employees in the absence of the Store Manager, conducting interviews, training, planning, assigning, directing work, and resolving problems in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.QualificationsExperience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.1‑3 years of customer service experience.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.Experience assisting in managing a team and meeting overall goals and profits.Self‑starter with initiative to take on important tasks without direction.Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with precision.Team player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise.#J-18808-Ljbffr
