Internal applicants are encouraged to submit their applications by COB June 29, 2026.Position OverviewTitle: Assistant Store Manager | Position: 53403 | Salary: $50,578 (starting pay may be supplemented by differential pay based on individual store tiers) | Location: The Shops At Hilltop, 1544 Laskin Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23451Mission: To strengthen the Commonwealth through public safety, education and revenue from the responsible regulation and sale of alcoholic beverages.Vision: To bring good spirits and excellent service to Virginia.Values: Accountability—Service—Integrity—Performance ExcellenceAreas of ResponsibilityAssisting Store Manager with monitoring customer service of store staffAssisting Store Manager with investigating and resolving customer complaintsEnsuring compliance with all ABC policies involved in checking IDsApplying merchandising techniquesAccounting for store fundsManaging inventory levelsAssisting store manager with training staff on store products, proper customer service skills and sales techniquesAssisting with establishing procedures that comply with store policies and appropriate lawsAvailable to work with limited or no noticeWork various shifts and weekly work schedules including Saturdays, Sundays, some holidays and during inclement weather.
