If you're energized by innovation and excited to lead in an environment centered on the future of AI, robotics, and next-generation technology, this is your opportunity to grow your career at the intersection of retail and innovation.Click here to view our job videoMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:* Maintain orderly operation and safety of all areas of responsibility; ensure that operational policies and procedures are being properly carried out at the store level* Consistently achieve inventory control, customer satisfaction, productivity, payroll and expense goals* Conduct physical inventory; manage all freight flow and merchandise processing, including regular cycle counts and tracking of company assets* Through front end leadership, ensure all customer issues are resolved in a timely manner and in alignment with company policy* Participate in and lead open and close procedures* Serve as manager-in-charge during absence of General Manager or other store managers* Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards* Manage staffing, orientation and training to ensure competent supervisors and associates are hired, trained and scheduled to properly service our customers* Develop and coach supervisors and associates in all departments in the areas of customer satisfaction, product knowledge, solution selling and standard operating procedures* Provide regular coaching and feedback to supervisors and associates to ensure goals and results are communicated to all associates throughout the store* Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with Regional HR Manager and Store Manager when needed* Perform other duties and tasks as assignedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:* 5+ years of leadership experience with a major big box retailer in a high-volume, 30,000+ square-foot store, preferably in a commissioned sales environment or within the consumer electronics industry* Previous experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer service* Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified employees* Ability to execute corporate initiatives and analyze the competition* Proficiency in Microsoft Office* Physical requirements: lift up to 50 lbs., stand for prolonged periods of time* Shifts include hours before and after the store is open to the public and may also include mornings, nights, weekends and holidays* A college degree is preferredMICRO CENTER OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL BENEFITS:* Flexible Schedules & Excellent Pay* Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits Coverage for Regular Full-Time Associates* Employee Discount that includes a Friends & Family Discount Program* Tuition Reimbursement & Education Discounts* Paid Time Off for Regular Associates* 401K Plan with Company Match* Esteemed Vendor & Company Job Training* Career Advancement OpportunitiesWhy Micro CenterOur core promise is to take care of our associates and our customers. OUR STORES:
There's nothing small about the way Micro Electronics sets up shop. The company sells computers and consumer electronics through more than 25 Micro Center stores in 16 states and an e-commerce site. The stores, which span up to 60,000 sq. ft., stock more than 40,000 products, including desktop and notebook computers from major makers (such as Apple, HP) and Micro Electronics' own WinBook and PowerSpec brands. Micro Electronics' computers are built by its International Products Sourcing Group (IPSG), which also supplies discounted computer gear.
Micro Center stores cater to tech enthusiasts with "Build Your Own" departments – which allow customers to assemble their computers from scratch – and "Knowledge Bars" up front where customers can speak with technicians.
