    • Paid time off
Do you love kids’ fashion, great deals, and creating a fun shopping experience? Join Once Upon A Child, North America’s #1 children’s resale franchise, where we make style affordable and sustainable for families every day.

Run the Floor. Lead the Team. Drive Results.

We’re looking for a high-energy leader who wants to run a store like it’s their own—driving sales, developing a team, and creating an exceptional experience for families in a fast-paced resale environment.

At Once Upon A Child, this is not traditional retail. Our inventory changes daily, our customers both shop and sell to us, and no two days look the same. If you thrive on momentum, decision-making, and leading from the front, this role is built for you.

This position is a true leadership role, partnering closely with the General Manager and serving as the person who sets the tone, pace, and performance of the store.

    Why High Performers Choose Us

    • Competitive hourly pay + performance-based incentives
    • $250 Shopping Spree Bonus after 90 days (20+ hrs/week)
    • Weekly pay
    • 30%+ employee discount
    • Paid time off, sick leave, and holidays
    • Medical reimbursement stipend + 401(k) eligibility
    • Paid training + leadership development
    • A fast-moving, team-first environment where your impact is visible daily
What Winning Looks Like in This Role

You are not here to “assist”—you are here to lead shifts, drive performance, and own outcomes.

    You will:

    • Take full ownership of your shifts—leading the team, making decisions, and driving results
    • Hit daily and weekly sales and performance targets
    • Coach and develop a team of 8–15 associates to deliver fast, friendly service
    • Maintain a full, clean, and highly shoppable sales floor at all times
    • Execute product drops, promotions, and merchandising strategies with urgency
    • Keep the buy counter running efficiently while ensuring strong inventory flow
    • Step in wherever needed—you set the standard for the team
    Leadership & Team Development

    • Build a culture of accountability, energy, and results
    • Coach in real-time—recognize wins and address performance gaps quickly
    • Support hiring, training, and developing future leaders
    • Lead by example—your pace becomes the store’s pace
    Operations & Execution

    • Own daily operations: opening/closing, cash handling, scheduling support
    • Evaluate incoming product with confidence and consistency
    • Ensure strong merchandising and inventory flow at all times
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient store environment
This Role Is NOT for Everyone

This role is not a fit if you:

    • Prefer slow-paced or highly structured environments
    • Avoid holding team members accountable
    • Struggle with multitasking or making decisions under pressure
    • Want a “clock in / clock out” type of job
    Who Thrives Here

    • Takes ownership and acts without being told
    • Leads with confidence and communicates clearly
    • Loves fast-paced environments where every day is different
    • Is motivated by results—sales, team performance, and growth
    • Wants to grow into a Store Manager role
    Qualifications

    • 3+ years retail or customer-facing experience
    • 2+ years leadership or supervisory experience
    • Proven ability to coach and develop a team
    • Strong communication and decision-making skills
    • Comfortable handling cash and store operations
    • Flexible schedule (weekends and some holidays required)
    • Ability to stand, move, and lift up to 40 lbs
    Growth Opportunity

This role is designed as a stepping stone to Store Manager for high performers. If you prove you can lead people and drive results, there is real opportunity to grow.
