About the Position\n

Power Train is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who wants to start a career in strength and conditioning, sports performance, or personal training.

As an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, you will gain hands-on experience working with clients in a professional strength and conditioning environment while learning from experienced coaches. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for someone who is passionate about training, enjoys working with people, and is eager to develop into a great coach.

\n

You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone who is coachable, dependable, hardworking, positive, and committed to learning.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity for a current student, recent graduate, former athlete, or anyone looking to transition their passion for strength and conditioning into a career.

What You'll Do\n

As an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, you will help create an exceptional training experience for every Power Train client while developing your skills as a coach.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with individual and small-group strength and conditioning sessions.
  • \n
  • Learn and apply Power Train's coaching standards, programming systems, and training philosophy.
  • \n
  • Learn how to coach proper movement, exercise technique, strength training, conditioning, and athletic development.
  • \n
  • Build positive relationships with clients and help them work toward their individual goals.
  • \n
  • Create a fun, energetic, positive, and encouraging training environment.
  • \n
  • Observe experienced coaches and actively apply feedback to improve your coaching ability.
  • \n
  • Participate in Free Trials and help prospective members understand the benefits of Power Train training.
  • \n
  • Help create an exceptional client experience that supports member retention and overall business growth.
  • \n
  • Communicate the benefits of Power Train training and the value it provides to clients and prospective members.
  • \n
  • Contribute to social media content that showcases the Power Train experience.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional training environment.
  • \n
  • Participate in staff training, continuing education, and professional development opportunities.
  • \n
  • Represent Power Train professionally through your appearance, communication, attitude, and actions.
  • \n
  • Arrive 16 minutes before your scheduled start time so you are fully prepared for your coaching responsibilities.
  • \n
  • Work assigned opening, closing, and split shifts as needed.
  • \n
  • Support the coaching team with other responsibilities that contribute to the success of the facility.
  • \n

Education & Experience\n

Previous professional coaching experience is helpful, but not required.

\n

We are willing to train the right person.

\n

Students and recent graduates studying Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Sports Performance, Physical Education, or a related field are encouraged to apply.

\n

Relevant certifications such as CPT, CSCS, USA Weightlifting, or other recognized fitness and strength & conditioning certifications are a plus, but are not required for the right entry-level candidate.

\n

Personal experience with strength training, athletics, or competitive sports is also valued.

Compensation & Growth\n

$43,680–$52,000 per year, based on experience, education, certifications, and demonstrated coaching ability.

This is a full-time, entry-level career opportunity with opportunities for increased compensation as your coaching skills, responsibilities, and performance develop.

Schedule\n

Full-time | Monday–Friday with Saturday shifts as needed

\n

Opening, closing, and split shifts will vary based on facility needs.
