Essential Functions:
Assists the Head Coach of Strength and Conditioning in all aspects of strength training programs for the 24 varsity sports. Meets with coaches and student-athletes, devises all-encompassing full season training plans, implements the specific training plans for each throwing event, and assists with home track & field meet management.
Assists the Head Track & Field Coaches in upholding the respective program vision and objectives.
Maintains established goals of the program(s). Regular meetings and daily communication with track & field head coaches.
Recruits academically and athletically qualified student-athletes who will be contributing members to the men's and women's track & field teams.
Meets on a regular basis with throwers to assess personal, academic, and athletic growth.
Designs and implements all training programs for all throwing events.
Teaches proper execution, techniques, and safety for all strength and conditioning programs and throwing events.
Travels to all track & field meets.
Works directly with the athletic training staff to monitor rehabilitation programs and develop post-rehabilitation programs for throwers and student athletes in strength and conditioning programs.
Stays current on trends in strength and conditioning and track & field and participates in professional development.
Complies with all University, ODAC Conference, as well as all NCAA rules and regulations.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned by Head Coach of Strength and Conditioning, Fitness Center Manager, and Track & Field Head Coaches.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree.
Collegiate throws experience, and collegiate coaching experience, in both strength and conditioning and throws, or the equivalent of education and experience is required.
NCAA recognized strength and conditioning certification required.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
First Aid/CPR certified.
Master’s degree is preferred.

The expected annual salary for this posting is between $42,000 - $49,000.
