Assistant Superintendent/Assistant Project Manager

We are seeking a Traveling Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager to support a $21M addition and renovation of a performing arts center in Lake Placid, NY. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across project administration, procurement, and field operations while working directly with senior site leader.

Description

The Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager will:

• Support project procurement and administrative functions, including submittals, shop drawings, contracts, and project documentation.
• Utilize Procore and other construction technology platforms to manage project information and workflows.
• Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely execution of project deliverables.
• Assist with field operations as the project progresses from procurement into construction.
• Verify material deliveries and ensure equipment and materials are properly received on site.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date construction drawings, plans, and project records.
• Help monitor project progress and support scheduling and coordination efforts.
• Report directly to the Senior Superintendent and assist with day-to-day site management activities.
• Contribute to the successful execution of a $21M addition and renovation project in Lake Placid, NY.

Profile

A successful Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager should have:

• 3+ years of construction experience in an Assistant Project Manager, Assistant Superintendent, or similar role.
• Experience managing submittals, shop drawings, contracts, and construction documentation.
• Proficiency with Procore.
• Strong technology skills and comfort working with project management software.
• Willingness to travel and live in Lake Placid, NY for approximately one year.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
