    Description

    We're a leading General Contractor based in Austin, TX that has been in business for over 50 years building anything from corporate offices to healthcare facilities, high-end residential to retail centers.


    Our team is growing and in need of hiring multiple Assistant Superintendents who are looking for a long-term career opportunity.


    Compensation / Benefits:

    Education / Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
    • 1-4+ years of experience building similar construction project types while employed by a GC


    Role / Responsibilities:

    • You will work directly under the supervision of a Lead Superintendent assisting with project coordination, schedule management, quality management, and safety management to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
    • Demonstrate an understanding of trade specific work.
    • Contact and direct subcontractors, suppliers, rental equipment companies, and other job specific vendors.
    • Understand subcontractor responsibilities and scope of work.
    • Forward thinking- must have the ability to recognize issues/conflicts in construction documents and in the field before they happen.
    • Prepare, adjust, and adhere to a 3-week look ahead.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to safety, which includes assisting with weekly safety meetings.
    • Foster relationships with subcontractors, vendor, and field personnel.
    • Strong written and verbal communication.
