Job Description
As an Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent, you will:
- Assist with daily jobsite operations and field coordination
- Support the Superintendent in managing subcontractors and trade partners
- Monitor project schedules and help track milestone completion
- Conduct site walks to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained
- Coordinate deliveries, logistics, and material staging
- Assist with construction sequencing and workflow planning
- Review project drawings and specifications
- Help maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Participate in subcontractor and safety meetings
- Identify and communicate potential field issues to project leadership
- Assist with punch-list completion and project closeout activities

The Successful Applicant
A successful Building and Construction Assistant Superintendent candidate will have:
- 2+ years of construction field experience
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, or similar field leadership role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and jobsite operations
- Basic knowledge of scheduling, quality control, and safety requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow into a Superintendent role
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic construction technology
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-family or residential construction experience
- Mixed-use development experience
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and trade partners
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Construction Management degree or related education
