We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of commercial construction projects from start to finish. Description
- Assist the Superintendent with daily onsite construction operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to maintain project schedules.
- Monitor project progress and help ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
- Conduct daily site walks to verify quality, productivity, and compliance standards.
- Support implementation and enforcement of all safety programs and jobsite requirements.
- Help manage material deliveries, equipment logistics, and site organization.
- Track project milestones and communicate updates to project leadership.
- Participate in subcontractor meetings, inspections, and progress reviews.
- Identify and help resolve field issues before they impact project timelines.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and daily logs.
- Support project closeout activities and punch list completion.
Profile
- 2+ years of commercial construction field experience preferred.
- Experience supporting ground-up construction and/or commercial renovation projects.
- Understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication and coordination skills with subcontractors and project teams.
- Commitment to maintaining safe and organized jobsites.
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and adapt within a fast-paced construction environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
