Assistant Superintendent/Concrete Layout Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Superintendent / Concrete Layout Specialist to join our construction team. Responsibilities

• Assist in supervising construction activities related to concrete layout, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards.
• Perform precise concrete layout work including setting grades, forms, and rebar placement according to blueprints and specifications.
• Use surveying equipment and layout tools to verify and adjust measurements on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and material availability.
• Monitor work progress and quality, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of layout activities, inspections, and modifications.
• Support safety initiatives by enforcing compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff and laborers in layout procedures and best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in concrete layout or related construction roles.
• Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, blueprint reading, and layout techniques.
• Proficiency with layout tools such as transit levels, total stations, laser levels, and tape measures.
• Familiarity with construction safety standards and ability to enforce them on site.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
