Assistant Superintendent – Construction
Philadelphia, PA
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 (DOE)
Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a confidential construction management firm seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support daily field operations on commercial, institutional, and public-sector construction projects throughout the Philadelphia area.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Superintendent with the daily management of construction site operations.
- Support enforcement of project safety requirements and site compliance programs.
- Help maintain project schedules, production targets, and workflow coordination.
- Coordinate subcontractor deliveries, site logistics, and material staging.
- Maintain project documentation, including daily logs, RFIs, reports, and as-built records.
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications for constructability and code compliance.
- Assist with quality control inspections and project progress tracking.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by project leadership.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of construction site experience.
- High School Diploma or Associate's Degree required.
- Knowledge of construction operations, scheduling, and safety practices.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced construction environment.
