Job Description
The Assistant Superintendent will:
- Support the Senior Superintendent in day-to-day field operations on a large multifamily podium project.
- Coordinate subcontractors to maintain project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Manage assigned scopes of work independently and provide field leadership throughout construction.
- Oversee wood framing activities and ensure proper sequencing with other trades.
- Coordinate MEP rough-in activities and resolve field conflicts proactively.
- Monitor exterior façade and building envelope installations to ensure quality and schedule adherence.
- Conduct site walks, identify issues, and drive resolution with project stakeholders.
- Maintain strong communication with project leadership, subcontractors, and ownership teams.
- Enforce safety standards and support a culture of jobsite excellence.
- Assist with project scheduling, reporting, inspections, and punch list completion.
- Support the successful delivery of the current Ashburn project before transitioning to future Mid-Atlantic developments, including a planned project in Annapolis.

The Successful Applicant
A successful Assistant Superintendent should have:
- 3-4+ years of construction experience in multifamily or hotel ground-up construction.
- Experience on podium, wrap-style, or similar large-scale residential projects.
- Strong knowledge of concrete and wood-frame construction.
- Experience coordinating MEP rough-in activities.
- Experience managing exterior façade and building envelope scopes.
- Strong communication and subcontractor management skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and project execution.
- Ability to work on-site in Ashburn, VA and transition to future regional projects.
