Job Description
Assistant Superintendent
As an Assistant Superintendent, you will:
- Assist in managing day-to-day construction site operations
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trade partners
- Monitor project schedules and support milestone achievement
- Conduct site walks to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained
- Help enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics
- Review construction drawings and specifications
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Participate in progress and coordination meetings
- Assist in identifying and resolving field issues
- Support punch-list completion and project closeout activities
- Work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management team

A successful Assistant Superintendent in Dunkirk, NY should have:
- Experience in construction project coordination or a related field.
- Familiarity with construction processes and safety standards.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- 2+ years of construction field experience
- Experience as an Assistant Superintendent, Foreman, Lead Carpenter, Project Engineer, or similar role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and jobsite operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and jobsite safety practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Desire to grow into a Superintendent position
