Assistant Superintendent - Ground-Up Multifamily - Developer

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to join their Connecticut construction team, with a focus on high-end, ground-up multifamily projects. The Assistant Superintendent will work closely with the Superintendent and Project Management teams to ensure daily field operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in accordance with safety.

Description

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for:

• Assisting the Superintendent in managing day-to-day onsite operations for ground-up multifamily developments.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
• Conduct daily jobsite walks to monitor quality control, safety compliance, and overall progress.
• Communicate effectively with Project Management, design teams, ownership, and subcontractors to resolve field issues as they arise.
• Maintain and update daily logs, reports, and site documentation using Procore or similar project management tools.
• Assist with managing inspections, punch lists, and project closeout processes.
• Enforce company and project safety programs to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Support schedule development and updates in collaboration with the Superintendent and Project Manager

Profile

The successful Assistant Superintendent will have:

• 3-5 years of onsite construction experience in ground-up projects.
• Multifamily project experience heavily preferred
• Strong working knowledge of building codes, ordinances, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Navisworks, and Bluebeam (preferred).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to solving problems in the field.

Job Offer

• Competitive Base Salary: $95,000 - $130,000 (commensurate with experience)
