Job DetailsWe are seeking an ambitious and experienced Permanent Assistant Superintendent to join our dynamic Healthcare Construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the construction and renovation of healthcare facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and functionality.
You will be instrumental in overseeing all phases of our healthcare construction projects, from initial planning to completion, with a focus on OSHPD (Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development) compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, design, construction, and completion.
- Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHPD regulations and other relevant health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to deliver high-quality healthcare facilities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate all site logistics, materials, and equipment.
- Solve any problems that may arise, including conflicts between workers, delays, or emergencies at the construction site.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation among project stakeholders, including owners, architects, subcontractors, and construction team members.
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
- Train and mentor construction workers and subcontractors, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare construction, with a focus on OSHPD compliance.
- Proven experience in managing construction projects from start to finish, with a strong focus on healthcare facilities.
- Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA guidelines, and building codes.
- Familiarity with construction and project management software.
- Excellent understanding of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Proficient in interpreting and executing architectural and structural plans and specifications.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strong decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Certifications in Construction Health and Safety, Project Management, or related fields would be an advantage.
- Must be willing to travel as required by the project needs.
