About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Construction team in St. George, Utah. In this role, you will assist the Superintendent with managing residential job sites throughout the homebuilding process while helping ensure quality craftsmanship, safety, scheduling efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

This position based in St. George, Utah.

What a Day in This Role Looks Like

The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in supporting daily construction operations across multiple communities. This position works closely with Superintendents, subcontractors, inspectors, and homeowners to help ensure homes are completed on schedule and built to Visionary Homes’ quality standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with subcontractor scheduling, conducting inspections and homeowner walk-throughs, monitoring construction progress, and helping maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, solving problems, building relationships, and being directly involved in the homebuilding process.

Responsibilities

• Recognize and enforce quality standards through daily inspections of homes under construction
• Inspect homes daily to ensure workmanship meets company standards and construction plans
• Monitor production schedules and construction progress
• Schedule and walk inspections with city inspectors
• Assist with subcontractor scheduling and coordination
• Conduct homeowner orientations and re-walks to ensure homeowner satisfaction
• Ensure completed homes are clean, complete, and ready prior to closing sign-off
• Document outstanding homeowner items and coordinate repairs with subcontractors
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and homeowners
• Execute company policies and help ensure consistency in construction methods and quality standards
• Support the Superintendent in maintaining schedules, policies, and job site expectations
• Maintain professionalism and uphold Visionary Homes’ customer service standards
• Assist in maintaining safe, clean, and organized communities and job sites
• Ability to work overtime as needed

Education & Experience

• Associate degree or 6 months to 1 year of related construction experience preferred
• Residential construction experience is a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, laptops, and construction-related applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between designated communities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and trade partners

Physical Requirements

• Requires prolonged sitting while working at a computer
• Frequent walking through active construction sites
• Ability to lift, bend, climb stairs, and navigate uneven terrain as needed on job sites
