Position: Assistant Supervisor Laboratory

Location: White Plains, NY

Schedule: Full-time

Shift: Night

Work Days: Monday-Friday, alternating weekends and holidays

Hours: 11:30 PM - 7:30 AM

Pay Range: $114,328.50 - $147,088.50

Job Summary:

• Oversee laboratory operations and ensure delivery of quality departmental services.
• Supervise laboratory testing and assist laboratory staff with specialized testing.
• Perform bench testing when staffing needs require assistance.
• Train, mentor, and support laboratory staff and ensure completion of orientation and competency requirements.
• Monitor and oversee the Quality Control Program and monthly QC reporting.
• Review QC, instrument maintenance, and other quality assurance activities.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and coordinate with vendors when necessary.
• Monitor turnaround times and address testing or workflow issues.
• Maintain laboratory safety and regulatory compliance standards.
• Manage laboratory inventory and ordering of supplies.
• Assist with staff scheduling, payroll/time sheets, and departmental administrative activities.
• Participate in performance improvement programs, committees, projects, and educational activities.
• Participate in interviewing prospective laboratory candidates.
• Maintain effective communication with laboratory staff and management.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor''s degree in Clinical Technology or related science required.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant hospital laboratory experience required.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist (CLAB) license required.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain compliance with laboratory regulatory and accreditation standards.
