Competitive starting pay rate $29.00 an hour plus a $2.00 night shift differential (Paid Weekly)

 

Assistant Supervisor available shift 7:00PM-7:00AM 2-2-3 Schedule

 

Summary:

 

The Assistant Supervisor is responsible for supporting the production supervisor in overseeing the manufacturing operations and assisting in coordinating a team of lead operators and production personnel ensuring production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The Assistant Supervisor will also be involved in process optimization, training, and continuous

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Assist the production supervisor with highest level technical guidance ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  •  Provide support and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the necessary resources to perform their tasks effectively.
  •  Assist in monitoring and tracking production progress, identifying bottlenecks or issues that may impact productivity, and taking appropriate actions to address them.
  •  Coordinate with the production supervisor to ensure efficient scheduling and allocation of resources to meet production targets.
  •  Participate in production planning meetings, providing input and insights to optimize production processes.
  •  Assist in monitoring product quality throughout the production process, ensuring compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  •  Participate in the investigation and resolution of any quality issues, working with the team to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  •  Assist in training new Lead operators on production processes, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  •  Support the ongoing training and development of existing team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  •  Collaborate with the production supervisor to identify training needs and opportunities for skills enhancement.
  •  Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring that all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
  •  Participate in regular safety inspections, identifying potential hazards, and taking appropriate actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  •  Guide and assist with machine troubleshooting.
  •  All other duties as assigned

 

Required Qualifications:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or vocational training is a plus.
  •  Previous experience as a Lead Operator in a manufacturing environment or a similar production setting is preferred.
  •  Strong leadership and team support skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  •  High level understanding of production processes, quality, and safety protocols.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  •  Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  •  High level mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills required.
  •  Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  •  Computer literate.
