Position Summary The Assistant Teacher in the Infant Room supports the Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants. This role focuses on meeting the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each child while maintaining a structured and loving classroom atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and classroom activities
Provide attentive, responsive care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and soothing
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Follow all state licensing regulations and health and safety procedures
Support age-appropriate developmental activities
Monitor and document children’s daily activities and progress
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
Assist with classroom routines including nap and feeding schedules
Model Christian values in daily interactions
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience working with infants or young children (preferred)
Ability to complete required background checks and training.
Must meet applicable Georgia childcare licensing requirements for the position.
Dependable attendance and punctuality.
Must have a nurturing and compassionate spirit for infants
