About the Role:
Lasting Impressions Child Development Center in Clarksburg, WV is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our Infant/Toddler classroom! Responsibilities:

• Assist lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers
• Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and age-appropriate play activities
• Engage children in developmentally appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
• Maintain accurate daily logs and communicate updates to parents and guardians
• Ensure classroom cleanliness and adherence to health and safety protocols
• Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members
• Follow all licensing regulations and childcare center policies

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred
• Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare or educational setting is a plus
• Genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting, bending, and sitting on the floor
• Must pass a background check and meet WV childcare licensing requirements
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
