Pay: $18–$20 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Classrooms
The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. This role focuses on helping maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment while supporting teachers with daily routines and learning experiences.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy working as part of a collaborative teaching team in a structured early childhood setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support classroom routines and daily learning activities
- Assist with developmentally appropriate experiences across age groups
- Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment
- Help guide children through meals, transitions, and learning centers
- Support classroom preparation and activity setup
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Follow all New York State and NYC childcare licensing requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Prior childcare or preschool experience preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, nurturing, and professional approach
- Must meet New York State childcare licensing requirements
