    Brightside Academy is looking for a caring, dependable Assistant Teacher to help create a safe, engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Opening, closing, and full-time shifts available.

    What We're Looking For

    • High school diploma or equivalent; 2 years of experience working with children or a CDA, 45 PD hours, or 9 ECE credits

    • Opening, closing, or full-time shift availability

    • Strong organization, communication, and classroom-management skills

    • A nurturing, dependable, energetic approach to working with children

    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

    • Ability to read/write English and use basic Microsoft Office tools

    • A plus: an Associate degree in Child Development or coursework completed toward an Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education

    What You'll Do

    • Support a high-quality, age-appropriate classroom experience

    • Help implement engaging lesson plans and learning activities

    • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized classroom

    • Supervise children and support daily routines, transitions, and classroom ratios

    • Support each child's developmental needs and adjust activities as needed

    • Work closely with the Lead Teacher, families, and center leadership

    • Follow all health, safety, licensing, and classroom-ratio requirements

    • Step into Lead Teacher responsibilities when needed

    • Complete annual professional-development requirements (24 professional development hours or 8 college credits each year)
