Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated assistant teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with young children. This role involves creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children between the ages of infancy and 6 years old.
Duties
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and growth in young children.
Provide individualized support to children, including those with special needs, ensuring an inclusive classroom environment.
Manage classroom activities and maintain a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
Engage with children through play-based learning, encouraging exploration and creativity.
Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive educational experience for all students.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards.
Qualifications
Assiociate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience will be considered
Experience working with children in a toddler or childcare setting is essential.
Knowledge of special education practices and strategies for working with children with disabilities is a plus.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an engaging learning environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff.
Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for educating young children.
Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory.
