The College of Technology, Architecture, and Applied Engineering is experiencing a significant growth in enrollment, especially in the school of engineering. The School of Engineering (SOE) offers a range of undergraduate engineering programs including Electronics and computer engineering, mechanical and manufacturing engineering, robotics engineering, and systems engineering. The SOE also offers four technology related undergraduate programs and three graduate programs including an M.S. in Logistic Systems Engineering. The SOE has about 1,000 students, 20 full time faculty and staff, and over $1.5 million externally funded grants from National Science Foundation, U.S. Department of Commerce, and U.S. Department of Defense.

Essential Functions

Position Title: Full-time, non-renewable and non-tenure-track position at Assistant Teaching Professor rank.

The School of Engineering in the College of Technology, Architecture & Applied Engineering is seeking to fill a full time, non-renewable, non-tenure-track position at Assistant Teaching Professor rank, in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach and developundergraduate levelcoursesinmechanical design, CAD, modeling & simulation, electromechanical systems, and general engineering courses.
  • Provide appropriate service tothedepartment,college,university, and the profession.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering is required.
  • At least one year of teaching experience within the discipline including teaching assistant role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on mechatronics or robotics engineering.
  • At least five years of teaching experience within the discipline including teaching assistant role.
  • At least two years of industry within the discipline including internship.
  • At least one year of online teaching experience.
  • Experience with dynamical systems, mechatronics, or industrial robots would be an asset.
