Assistant Team Leader - The Great Texas Oil Change

The Assistant Manager supports the Store Manager in the daily operation of the quick lube service center by ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient workflow, employee development, and adherence to company policies and safety standards. This position helps lead the team to achieve sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals while maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing the daily operations of the service center.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, explaining services, and resolving concerns professionally.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and motivate technicians and customer service staff.
  • Ensure all oil changes, preventative maintenance services, and inspections are performed accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Assist with scheduling employees and managing labor costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies, lubricants, filters, and shop materials as needed.
  • Support sales initiatives by educating customers on recommended maintenance services without using high-pressure sales tactics.
  • Handle customer complaints and service recovery in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, deposits, and daily reporting.
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and any repairs are reported promptly.
  • Help achieve monthly sales, productivity, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility.

Schedule:

  • Full-time position. 55+ hours/ week

  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Skills & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver license and acceptable driving record
  • Background and drug screening
  • Ability to multitask

Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily, have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, complete a drug screening, background screening, and provide all government I-9 requirements. A combination of education, experience, and training is always considered.
