Job Summary:

The Assistant to the Chief Ambulatory Officer works under the direction of the CAO and consistently exercises considerable initiative and independent judgment to coordinate the multifaceted, high-paced administrative duties related to the role of the Chief Ambulatory Officer. Handles multiple, complex administrative matters of a highly confidential nature and independently prioritizes tasks appropriately based on urgency. Administrative duties include assisting with planning, scheduling, budgeting, staffing, managerial reports, and document formulation, necessary to achieve the goals of Ambulatory Services. Serves as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for the internal and external partners, governmental agencies, and may serve on a variety of hospital and departmental committees in a support capacity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor''s degree and two years of related experience or Associate''s degree and four years of related experience required. Demonstrated ability to achieve high-performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Competency to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities. Ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Experience with Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting.
