About the Role

Maintains and organizes tools and equipment

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Follows all safety guidelines and procedures; supports the J.F. Electric safety philosophy
    • Ensures that all those who enter or work in the Tool Crib/Cage perform their work safely and use all appropriate personal protective equipment
    • Stops unsafe work practices and intervenes with information about how to accomplish things better
  • Maintains and organizes tools related to electrical construction
  • Loads tools on and off of trucks
  • Documents where/to whom tooling is assigned and when it will be returned
  • Tracks tool inventories and reports any missing items promptly
  • Ensures tooling is ready to use when needed
  • Tracks inventory of materials and consumables and orders replenishment as needed
  • Keeps Tool Crib/Cage clean and organized
  • Communicates routinely with Tool Coordinator, other employees, and supervisors
  • Other duties as assigned or prudent
  • Cross-train in all facets of the Division, preparing to fill in for anyone absent and grow in responsibility and scope over time.

The person in this role will uphold the culture of J.F. Electric, including relationship building with customers as well as general behavior on J.F. Electric or client premises or at J.F. Electric sponsored events.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Requires no specialized experience
  • Electrical or construction experience or education helpful
  • Strong organizational skills, communication, and attention to detail
  • Computer proficiency

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to routinely lift 40 to 75 pounds and greater weights with assistance and tools
  • Must be able to bend, reach, squat, stoop, reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to differentiate between colors and textures
