Responsibilities:The Assistant Underwriter will support the underwriting team in delivering Berkley Specialty Property’s business plan through a combination of underwriting support, technical processing, and operational oversight. The role focuses on assisting Underwriters with risk assessment, pricing and pre-bind activity, while ensuring high-quality data, efficient processing, and effective use of offshore support.

Previous experience in an underwriting support or insurance operations role preferred
Exposure to property underwriting or commercial insurance is advantageous
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Experience using underwriting, rating or policy administration systems preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proactive, organised and able to work both independently and collaboratively
