JOB SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Veteran Services Officer, responsible for providing a multitude of professional and supportive assistance to veterans, dependents, and survivors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in a related field
Prior public sector experience and/or experience working with veterans
In appointing an officer, the Commissioners Court shall give preference to a veteran who qualifies for a veterans employment preference under Chapter 657 of the Texas Government Code. Chapter 657 details the following individuals qualify for a veterans employment preference in the following order of priority:
(1) a veteran with a disability;
(2) a veteran;
(3) a veterans surviving spouse who has not remarried; and
(4) an orphan of a veteran if the veteran was killed while on active duty.
