Assistant Vice President, Sales & Account Management

Delta Dental of Illinois is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven sales leader to help lead our next chapter of growth. As Assistant Vice President, Sales & Account Management, you will guide the teams and partnerships responsible for new business, client retention, broker and consultant relationships, and market expansion.

What You'll Do

• Lead sales and account management strategy to drive profitable growth, retention, subscriber growth, and market share.
• Coach and develop sales, account management, and sales support leaders and team members.
• Build trusted executive-level relationships with brokers, consultants, general agents, strategic partners, and key clients.
• Use market insight, analytics, forecasting, and client feedback to inform business development, retention, pricing, product, and distribution strategies.
• Represent Delta Dental of Illinois at industry events, broker forums, consultant meetings, chambers, and community organizations.

What You'll Bring

• 10+ years of progressive experience in sales, account management, client relations, or business development, preferably in insurance, employee benefits, health care, dental, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading or managing sales, account management, or sales support teams.
• Strong experience with relationship-based selling, consultative account management, broker and consultant distribution channels, renewals, retention, and revenue growth.
• Demonstrated ability to develop growth plans, manage performance against goals, and use data to identify opportunities, risks, and next steps.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent education and directly related experience may be considered.
• Current Insurance Producer's license, where required, or ability to obtain one within a specified period following hire.
