Assistant Volleyball Coach (Fall 2026)

Position: Volleyball Assistant Coach School Year: SY 26-27 Stipend: $3,203.00 - $3,783.00

Department: Athletics Reports to: Director of Athletics Affiliation: Unit A Section F

Time Commitment:

• Six days a week
• Fifteen to twenty hours a week
• Three games a week

Season Length: 11/20/2026 - 11/20/2026 Number of Positions: 2

Note: This is a stipend position.

SUMMARY The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding Volleyball assistant coach to coach the girls volleyball team for the 2026-2027 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coach the team they are assigned to.
• Assume the duties of the head coach when the head coach is not present.
• Assist in coaching practices or games.
• Implement practice plans.
• Oversee scouting of opposition.
• Be a liaison between the captains and the head coach.
• Coordinate with the athletic office on the rosters, awards, and medical issues tasks.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• CPR Certified.
• NFHS concussion course complete.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School degree or equivalent.
• A degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• Experience coaching volleyball.
