Job Title: Assistant Warehouse Driver – Electrical Department: Warehouse / Electrical Operations Reports To: VP of Service FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt
Position Summary
The Assistant Warehouse Driver – Electrical supports daily warehouse and field operations by assisting with loading, staging, and delivering electrical materials, tools, and equipment to job sites. This role ensures electricians and project teams receive accurate materials on time while maintaining a safe, organized warehouse. The position requires knowledge of common electrical supplies and the ability to work in both warehouse and construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with loading, unloading, and delivering electrical materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
Pull and stage electrical materials such as conduit, wire, panels, devices, and fixtures
Verify packing slips, delivery tickets, and material quantities before departure
Receive and inspect incoming electrical shipments for accuracy or damage
Organize and stock electrical inventory in the warehouse
Assist electricians in the field with material handling when needed
Maintain delivery vehicles, keeping them clean, stocked, and safe
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and proper lifting techniques
Support job site material returns and restocking
Communicate with project managers, foremen, and warehouse staff regarding material needs
Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment (training provided if needed)
Maintain a clean, organized warehouse and yard
Perform other duties as assigned to support electrical operations
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Previous warehouse, delivery, or electrical/construction experience preferred
Basic knowledge of electrical materials and tools strongly preferred
Ability to read material lists, packing slips, and job tickets
Forklift certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Team player with good communication skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs regularly
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
Ability to load/unload conduit, wire reels, and electrical equipment
Ability to work in warehouse, yard, and active construction job sites
Comfortable working in various weather conditions
Work Environment
Warehouse and active electrical construction job sites
May require early mornings and occasional overtime
Fast-paced environment supporting field electricians
Compensation & Benefits
