Assistant Warehouse Manager

Location: Chesapeake, VA
Salary: $75,000–$100,000 + Up to 20% Annual Management Bonus

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Warehouse Manager to oversee day-to-day warehouse operations.
• Optimize warehouse workflow and improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through effective inventory management practices.
• Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse team members.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance and address operational issues proactively.
• Support production schedules and customer fulfillment by maintaining efficient warehouse operations.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations, preferably within food manufacturing, food distribution, or a related industry.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and warehouse best practices.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive base salary of $75,000–$100,000, based on experience.
