Description
The Assistant Womens Basketball coach must have a clear understanding of NCAA Division III rules and philosophy, a commitment to recruiting, developing and graduating quality student-athletes. This individual will be responsible to assist the head coach in all coaching duties including, but not limited to, planning and facilitation of practice sessions, game preparation, recruiting, and scheduling.
The position reports directly to the Head Womens Basketball Coach and may include a secondary assignment within the athletic department dependent upon the successful candidates credentials and expertise.
Responsibilities
Assist Head Coach in managing all phases of a NCAA, Division III Basketball program with specific responsibilities outlined below:
Expectations: Uphold the high professional standard of conduct expected of each person on campus as outlined in our Employee Handbook. Build positive interpersonal relationships in and out of the athletic department by attending College functions, both social and professional; staff meetings; faculty meetings; serving on committees; etc.
Each Assistant Athletic Instructor will be evaluated in part by the successful utilization and outcomes of the student athlete program learning outcome matrix.
Qualifications
This position is required to complete assigned University compliance training as communicated by the University.
