Assistant Wrestling Coach

Part Time Assistant Coach, Men's Wrestling

Midway University is actively seeking a part-time Assistant Coach to join our Men's wrestling programs. Working closely with the Head Coach, the successful candidate(s) will play a pivotal role in recruiting talented student-athletes, providing skill instruction, offering academic support, and ensuring compliance.

Primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Adhere to University and NAIA policies and procedures.
• Provide help administering the Wrestling program, including recruiting, budgeting, travel and tournament preparations.
• Assist the Head Coach and administration to ensure that all team members have completed all the required eligibility forms prior to participating.
• Coordinate and evaluate as-needed coaching/training sessions, ensuring that effective principles, techniques, strategies, and methods to achieve sport proficiency is happening; observe student-athletes during practice to determine opportunities for growth.
• Maintain confidentiality with office and team related issues.
• Assist in the maintaining of the wrestling room.
• Assist in driving vans to and from tournaments.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior coaching experience at high school or collegiate level is highly desirable. The ability to coach and recruit skilled student-athletes is preferred. This position will require a background and driving record check. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as required.
