Position Summary

Nye Health Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Medication Aide to join our Assisted Living Facility (ALF) team on overnight shifts. This position plays a vital role in supporting residents through safe medication administration, attentive care, and meaningful interactions that promote comfort, dignity, and independence. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-focused, and passionate about delivering exceptional resident-centered service.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies
  • Accurately document medication administration and resident care activities
  • Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing leadership
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and overnight needs
  • Ensure resident safety, comfort, and security throughout the overnight shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for residents and team members
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, residents, and families


Qualifications

  • Current 40-hour Medication Aide certification in the state of Nebraska required
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required, or the ability and willingness to obtain within 30 days
  • Previous assisted living or long-term care experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining excellent resident care
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond appropriately in urgent situations
