Assisted Living - Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Polaris Health Care / Marquis Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and professional and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide quality care and support in an assisted living facility in Huntington Station.

We are looking for dedicated caregivers who take pride in helping others and providing respectful, reliable care.

Compensation

• $21.32

Flexible Scheduling

We have opportunities available for:

• Day Shifts
• Night Shifts
• Overnight Shifts
• Weekend Shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility
• Assist with meals, light housekeeping, laundry, and other activities of daily living
• Promote resident safety and properly assist with wheelchairs, oxygen equipment, side rails, and other approved assistive devices
• Follow individual care plans and agency policies and procedures
• Accurately document services provided
• Promptly report changes in a resident's condition, incidents, or concerns to the RN Supervisor
• Build positive and professional relationships with residents and their families
• Maintain confidentiality and protect resident information
• Follow agency standards for dress, hygiene, professionalism, and conduct
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a commitment to quality care
• Participate in care team and supervisory processes as required by New York State regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising nurse

Qualifications

• Current PCA or HHA certification required
• Compassionate, dependable, and professional
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently while following a care plan
• Commitment to providing respectful, high-quality care
