Duties Description The New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill an Assisted Outpatient Treatment Compliance Specialist 3, M-2, position in the New York City Field Office (NYCFO). Under the general direction of the Director, MH Field Office 2, the AOT Compliance Specialist 3 will oversee and implement the provisions of Kendra's Law within New York City's large and complex mental health system. The incumbent will be responsible for conferring with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and New York City Field Office leadership to develop and maintain detailed management plans and to ensure the program is operating for the benefit of consumers.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Minimum Qualifications The minimum qualifications for appointment to an Assisted Outpatient Treatment Compliance Specialist 3 position are: A Bachelor's Degree in a human service or clinical discipline, such as Psychology, Social Work, etc., OR an RN; and at least five years of post-degree professional clinical experience, working in a mental health setting. Two years of professional experience (either as part of, or in addition to, the qualifying general experience) must have included substantial engagement in one or more of the following activities:
New York State residency is required at the time of appointment.
