Position Summary:

Responsible for providing on-call, in-house pastoral care to patients, visitors, and employees.

Responsibilities:
  • Responds to requests for pastoral care services.
  • Provides pastoral care to patients, visitors, and employees as appropriate.
  • Logs time and visits for any follow-up actions by Chaplain and charts visits on electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintains confidentiality in relationships established through service.
  • Assists community clergy in provision of pastoral services with patients and visitors as opportunity develops.
  • Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum Education:          

At least (1) unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) completed.

 

Minimum Experience:         

Three (3) years experience in pastoral ministry, with one (1) year in health care ministry.
