A well-established regional property & casualty insurance organization is seeking an experienced actuarial professional to join its growing analytics team. This role offers the opportunity to influence pricing strategy, predictive analytics, reserving analyses, and broader business decision-making while partnering closely with stakeholders across the organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for an actuary who enjoys working with data, building analytical solutions, and translating complex findings into actionable business insights.
What You'll Be Doing
Perform actuarial and analytical analyses to support business strategy and decision-making
Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial datasets, models, tools, and reporting processes
Validate data quality and identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and usability
Support pricing, reserving, and predictive analytics initiatives
Create analytical tools and models that support multiple functional areas across the business
Partner with cross-functional teams on strategic projects and emerging business challenges
Interpret results, develop recommendations, and clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences
Research and apply emerging analytical techniques, predictive modeling approaches, and industry best practices
Contribute to the continuous improvement of actuarial methodologies, processes, and systems
Mentor and support the professional growth of other team members
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field
ACAS designation required
Approximately 4+ years of actuarial experience
Background in Property & Casualty insurance preferred
Strong programming skills using tools such as Python, R, SQL, VBA, or similar languages
Experience working with and manipulating large datasets
Advanced Excel proficiency
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
