We offer a competitive compensation package, ranging from $130,000 - $170,000 annually, with additional incentives to recognize your achievements. Compensation:$130,000 - $170,000 yearly
Responsibilities:Legal Representation
- Provide skilled legal representation to clients in matters involving the Marchman Act and Guardianship proceedings.
- Conduct thorough legal research and case analysis to develop effective legal strategies and ensure a comprehensive understanding of each matter.
- Draft, prepare, and file pleadings, petitions, motions, and other legal documents in a timely and accurate manner.
Courtroom Advocacy
- Represent clients during court hearings, proceedings, and related appearances.
- Prepare clients for hearings by explaining the legal process and setting expectations.
- Present persuasive arguments, evidence, and legal recommendations in support of client cases.
- Participate in negotiations and settlement discussions when appropriate.
Client Communication & Support
- Build strong relationships with clients through compassionate, professional, and responsive communication.
- Provide clear, practical legal guidance tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
- Keep clients informed regarding case developments, timelines, and next steps throughout the legal process.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with attorneys, legal staff, and other professionals within the firm to support case success.
- Coordinate with external parties including medical professionals, social workers, treatment providers, and court personnel as needed.
Compliance & Ethics
- Ensure all legal work and client interactions are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, court procedures, and ethical standards.
- Stay current on changes in legislation, regulations, and case law related to guardianship and behavioral health law.
Documentation & Case Management
- Maintain organized, accurate, and detailed case files, records, and documentation.
- Prepare reports, case summaries, and other documentation for clients and internal firm needs as required.
Professional Development
- Remain informed on developments and best practices within guardianship and behavioral health law.
- Participate in continuing legal education (CLE) courses and ongoing professional development opportunities to strengthen legal expertise.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- 3–5 years of litigation experience required.
- Demonstrated courtroom and hearing experience, including advocacy and case presentation.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively negotiate and build rapport with clients and opposing parties.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Guardianship, Marchman Act, and/or Behavioral Health Law is highly preferred.
