Responsibilities include managing a caseload of motor vehicle accident matters, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence, and evaluating claims for liability and damages. The role involves regular communication with clients, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel, as well as negotiating settlements and preparing cases for litigation and trial when necessary. The Associate Attorney will attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and other court proceedings, while maintaining organized case files and tracking deadlines. Collaboration with the principal attorney and staff to ensure timely, compassionate, and effective representation is central to this position.QualificationsStrong foundation in Law and demonstrated experience or interest in personal injury practice.Background or coursework in Labor and Employment Law is beneficial, particularly for related damages or employment‑impact issues.Ability to provide clear, practical legal advice to clients, with strong client counseling and communication skills.Proficiency in legal research, including case law, statutes, and regulatory materials, and the ability to translate findings into strategy and documents.Skilled in negotiation with insurance carriers and opposing counsel, with a focus on fair, client‑centered resolutions.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license in North Carolina (South Carolina admission or willingness to obtain is a plus).Excellent written advocacy and courtroom presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and time management.Ability to work collaboratively in a small‑firm setting, demonstrate professional integrity, and show empathy for injured clients.#J-18808-Ljbffr
